This VHF net allows to have regular radio contacts with all the radio operators who operate in and around Trivandrum. The net also allows local radio amateurs to exchange greetings, technical information, and to evaluate the repeater and the respective stations for their suitability to handle emergency traffic and regular traffic in all situations. The VHF net helps to connect all amateur radio enthusiasts coming in from diverse professions and backgrounds. It also helps to refresh and renew old contacts and to exchange amateur radio and personal experiences among the ham community in Trivandrum.

The range of the Trivandrum repeater enables us to have regular contacts throughout the entire Trivandrum district and the adjacent district of Kollam in Kerala State and the districts of Kanyakumari and Thirunelveli districts in Tamilnadu State. The regular VHF Net allows exchange of signal report of the station, daily greetings, weather report, and other important traffic needed for the amateur radio community in Trivandrum.
